About me.

I am a qualified Psychotherapist with a MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy. I work in private practice from HQ Therapy Rooms, Haggerston, offering in-person and online sessions. My training was undertaken at the University of Birkbeck. I began my clinical practice at SBC, a low-cost charity providing affordable therapy to the local community working with a wide demographic. My practice considers the social and cultural dynamics that influence our relationships and form our identities. I also have previous experience in the voluntary sector, working with women who have survived trafficking and sexual exploitation. I am registered with the BACP and work within their ethical framework.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.

Issues therapy can help with:

I work within a Psychodynamic model - there is no set agenda to the session, rather I offer a free-associative space encouraging you to bring whatever is on your mind. Together, we will think about what may be troubling you and aim to make sense of this. In sessions, we may uncover thoughts, memories and feelings that have previously remained unconscious. Bringing these to conscious awareness allows scope to consider how past experiences and previous relationships hold influence over your current well-being.

Psychotherapy can enhance deeper self-reflection and understanding to improve the relationship with yourself and to others around you. By facilitating an environment where you are able to express and explore your deepest fears, anxieties and traumas, I hope to ground meaning and help alleviate pain, allowing yourself to work through these issues.

I have experience working with: depression; stress & anxiety; loneliness; self-harm & suicidal ideations; PTSD; trauma; grief & loss; domestic, emotional & sexual abuse; matters of identity; sexual orientation (LGBTQIA+); relationship issues; sex & intimacy issues; body image & eating disorders; matters of identity and life transitions.

What next?

I hold a personal, adaptable approach to create a safe, caring and attentive space suited to each individual. My clinical practice includes treatment of milder presentations to more complex conditions; whether you are struggling with low-level anxiety or suicidal ideations, I maintain that all cases hold utmost importance and are treated with serious attention and care.

My private practice is based at HQ Therapy Rooms, Haggerston, where I offer in-person and online sessions. I provide open-ended and short-term psychotherapy, with sessions being held on a weekly basis.

The therapeutic relationship is central to the therapy. Our relational dynamic factors invaluably to the work. It is essential you find the right therapist for you, therefore I encourage clients to explore a range of options to find the best fit.

Please feel free to contact me via the contact page. I can offer a brief call to answer any questions you may have, before scheduling an initial consultation. This will be an opportunity to assess what it would be like working together.

My fees range from £60-90.
